"...what an industrious mind...
... may you be allowed to work for a long time!"*

Ingeborg and Aslaug
Ingeborg and Aslaug after a successful June 17th.

Aslaug is the oldest daughter of Ingeborg's sister Ragna and Eivind Groven. Ingeborg used to babysit her before the war, and taught her a lot.

In 1950 Aslaug started the first children's Suttung group, and remained one of Ingeborg's closest collaborators.

Aslaug's first book was published in 1953, and she has since written 32 books, both novels and literature analysis.

She has been teaching on university level from 1970, and for more than 16 years been professor in nordic literature at Trondheim University.

* The title of this page ("...what an industrious mind..") is what Ingeborg wrote in a book given to Aslaug on her birthday.
