Mitja Bulba visits Nes!

Ingeborg at home Ingeborg's sense of humour comes across in an idea like "Mitja Bulba".
During the redecoration of The Stein school, a lot of the fundraising work included arranging entertainment evenings. Ingeborg used her imagination to come up with ideas that would draw people to the events:

March 13th, 1937 the Nes worker's choir had a prominent guest: all the way from Russia came the actor Mitja Bulba to recite poems at their concert. A foreigner in a tiny, Norwegian town in the 1930s was a sensation, and the performance attracted a huge audience.

But "the Russian actor" was -- Ingeborg Refling Hagen!

She had a false beard, which barely stayed on till the end of the performance, and a leather jacket.

The diary reads:
"Erling Elverhøy ran onstage before the show, looking for Ingeborg, who suddenly was disappeared. He saw Bulba and greeted the foreigner politely. "I'm sorry, you are Mr. Bulba, I presume. Nice to meet you." Then he whispered to another actor: "Where is Ingeborg?" (...) "We can't start until she is here!" (...) Bulba removed his false beard and revealed his true identity. Erling stared at her a moment, then could hardly stop laughing..."
