Member of Norske Billedkunstnere (NBK) Artist working with a number of techniques: graphic (etching and litography), drawings (illustrations), water colour, gouache, painting, kalligraphy. Olav Bjørgum was born in Valle, Setesdal in 1934. After an education as silversmith specialized in silver work for traditional costumes, he went to Oslo to study art at Statens Håndverk- & Kunstindustriskole, grafisk linje during 5 years (1957-62). He travelled and studied in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sovjet and the Scandinavian countries. Since he opened his own atelier in 1964, and has since been working full time with his art. |

He has had many public assignments, illustrating nursing homes at Stange, Våler,
Ringsaker, Bykle, Norstumoen videregående skole, Hamar Politikammer.
Bjørgum has illustrated around 35 books, among them many of Ingeborg's novels. He has also contributed many illustrations for other publications and magazines. Bjørgum has had 26 exhibitions and participated in 20 group exhibitions. He was invited gues at Illustration biennale in Tsjekkoslovakia in 1971 (w/I.R.Hagen's "Eventyr og historier fra Mostua") and has received the Norwegian department of culture's illustration/book design prize twice. |
Painter, born 1915 in Kragerø, died in 1997. Teigen was taught drawing at an early age by his father Karl Kn. Teigen. He studied at SHKS under Carl von Hanno, Karl Høgberg, Per Krohg and Carsten Lien 1935-36, and studied with Gunnar Janson 1938 and 1940. He received a number of scholarships. He spent 3 months studying in Italy in 1927, later several journeys to France, Italy and London. |

Teigen worked in the papers Tidens tegn (1933-39) and Arbeiderbladet (1947-62), and illustrated several books. Among those were many of I.R. Hagens pre-war books. He participated in a number of exhibitions nationwide. Public works: paintings at Stein skole, Romerike (1936), Mostu skole in Hedmark, Stange Frigjøringen (1948), Kjelsås skole, Oslo P.Chr. Asbjørnsen (1950), Grefsen skole, Oslo Utsikt over byen. He was awarded the "most beautiful book of the year prize" in 1937. |
Sculptor and painter, born 1892 at Solberg farm, Bærum, died 1977. He was son of the famous graphic artist and painter Erik Werenskiold, and was taught by him, but kept his individual and distinct style and artistic independence. During early years he often accompanied his father on journeys in rural Norway, but in 1911 he went studying in Paris, and two years later to Provence. Werenskiold also lived in France in 1920-23 - keeping himself busy with studies of modelling, painting and wood cutting. He also studied in Greenland and Italy. |

He created the reliefs on the doors of the Oslo Cathedral (1940) and big reliefs for the Oslo City Council House (during the 1950s), based on themes from Norse mythology. He also made the altarpiece of Sandefjord kirke (1963) Werenskiold has participated in numerous significant exhibitions in Norway and abroad. Painter and illustrator, born Oslo 1879 - d.1961 Abrahamsen attended Harriet Backer's school of painting, and studied literature with Anders Krogvik. She went studying in Italy in 1924 and 1926 (with I. R. Hagen). She has held a number of exhibitions in Oslo. |

Abrahamsen has a significant production of drawings and oil paintings. She took part in the decoration of Stein and Strandlykkja schools, and I.R. Hagen's home Fredheim. She also participated in Kinck-Wergeland-teatret as director during the 1920s, in collaboration with I.R. Hagen. |

Groven Michaelsen was influcenced by the painter Birgit Abrahamsen, and specializes in flower paintings. She has illustrated several books - Fredheims julesanger, Gjør det mamma (Aslaug G. Michaelsen), Wergelandsdiktet "Florilla" etc. |
